The game also crashed when I had another tab open.. It's a bit dated, but great fun! A lot of people say that the controls are bad, but they're not. You get the hang of them, and if not the game does tell you some of the controls. Overall worth the $1!. I'm honestly not sure why this game has a Mixed rating, it's rather good. The handling model and the suspension physics are pretty good and the game looks pretty good on top of that for it's age. It also uses the Unreal 3 Engine which was a nice surprise so performance is pretty good as well. The only thing missing from this game is some kind of free-roam mode and maybe some more in-depth vehicle configuring/customization. The options menu could use some more work and the controls on a controller could be a little more intuitive.The only issue I had was flags getting knocked down when I was nowhere near them, it seems like water and deforming dirt can actually move them? It's hard to tell. My time on Steam is not right, for whatever reason the first time I started the game it didn't count the couple hours I put into it, the second time I played it did though. There's a fair amount of vehicles to choose from as well with about 10+ tires to choose from on each car and you can choose how tall you want the suspension to be and how hard/soft the springs should be.It's definitely a fun game if you know anything about off-roading. You can set your diff lockers and your center diff locker to supply even power among your tires, release air from your tires and dis/engage your front diff, use a winch with tension measuring and power adjustment and select between low and high range gears, choice of manual or automatic transmission as well among other options.From what I can tell most people are upset that there's no free-roam and some steering wheels don't seem to work with it or it looks dated. I can understand the first two complaints, the handling and suspension physics make me want to take my time playing so I can watch every little component of the suspension do it's thing so a free-roam option would be amazing, sadly this is an off-road trials racing game so free-roam probably wasn't in the cards when they were developing this. And not working with your steering wheel can be a complete deal breaker, who would use a controller when they have a $1200+ steering wheel setup? No one, that's who. Though this game is now quite old and was kind of just dumped on Steam with not many updates to hit afterwards, literally just language patches so it's understandable it doesn't support newer wheels buuuut I do wish they would have updated it to add some more features or make the control configuration better so we could just edit steering wheel controls properly ourselves with full force feedback.But all in all it's a really great game that I had a lot of fun with and will continue to play for the physics and handling.. 5/10, this game is not worth the money, or the time. it is not "true-to-life" at all. 1C should get their Ish together and make a decent game or gtfo. How do you expect us to play an offroad game where you can not go offroading? All you can do is follow the racetrack, that's it. physics are crap, suspension is not realistic by any stretch of the imagination, the sounds of the engines are too similar. Looks like they rebooted one of their old offroad games with fancy graphics. that's the only good thing about the game...the graphics.My advice: go download rigs of rods (for free), if you want an offroading game where you can do some offroading.. And im sure if there was it would sell many copies. Please make again but put some effort in this time. This off road drive is glitchy, has poor graphics and hard to see where your going because of the camers setup. But this game still has some kool features like diff lock, four by, winch, tire pressure adjustment ect.
